Keyword research
Build a small query map around the seven utilities instead of collecting a huge list of disconnected keywords.
Goal
Create a small, useful keyword map that connects real search language to the right Vishow Tools page.
Concept
Keyword research is not a contest to collect the most phrases. It is evidence gathering: how people describe a problem, how specific the query is, what intent it carries, and which existing or future page should satisfy it.
Start with a seed topic, then expand into closely related wording and questions.
Why it matters
Without a map, several pages may accidentally chase the same query while important related questions have no suitable page at all.
Vishow Tools example
Use the seven utilities as seven seed topics:
- password generator
- TOTP generator
- public IP
- Markdown editor
- CIDR calculator
- SHA-256 / SHA-512 hash generator
- Unix timestamp converter
For the Password Generator, a first working map might separate:
- tool intent:
password generator, secure password generator - educational intent:
password vs passphrase, how long should a password be - questions that may deserve future Guides rather than changes to the tool page
Do not create a new page merely because a phrase exists. A page should have a distinct useful job.
CMS practice
Open CMS → SEO and choose one existing tool. Then inspect its linked Guide(s) in CMS → Content. Write down which queries belong to the tool and which belong to explanatory content. No metadata change is required until the map is coherent.
Measure
Before production, the output is the query-to-page map itself. After indexing, validate it using Search Console impressions and queries, then revise the map using real evidence.
CMS gap check
The current CMS does not need a dedicated keyword database for this beginner exercise. If repeated real practice later shows that query mapping needs persistent CMS support, record that as a feature gap instead of adding one speculatively.
What you learned
A useful keyword belongs to a specific intent and page, not merely to the website as a whole.
